Black Belts

David Lange - Director of Space City Martial Arts

David Lange's karate journey began with the American Society of Karate in 1989.

Mr. Lange received his Black Belt in December 1994, and in March 2020, Mr. Lange received his 6th Level.

In May 2022, he made a decisive move by founding Space City Martial Arts (S.C.M.A.). This organization is dedicated to teaching

American Karate to individuals ages five and up, while prioritizing continuous improvement within a dynamic and positive framework.

In December 2023, we forged a groundbreaking collaboration. Hill County Karate (H.C.K.), Cypress Warriors Martial Arts, and Space City

Martial Arts (S.C.M.A.) united to establish the Texas Association of Sport Karate (T.A.S.K.), a pioneering force in the Texas martial arts community.

Our system is not static; it actively integrates new ideas and approaches to karate, encompassing the art, sport, and self-defense. T.A.S.K. is

committed to running fair and impartial tournaments, organizing impactful karate camps, and broadening students' knowledge through diverse

seminars and empowering them to tackle any challenges they encounter during their training confidently.

We are shaping the future of karate in Texas, and we invite all to join us on this journey.
