Welcome to Space City Martial Arts

Invitational Only Tournament. Our students will compete in Light Contact Point Sparring. The tournaments are a REQUIREMENT if the students wish to advance to the next belt level. This is a Winner's Tournament, so the competitor will receive either a 1st or 2nd place medal or trophy.

 The primary goal of a sparring seminar is to bridge the gap between practicing individual techniques (drills) and applying them in a dynamic, real-time scenario. Key benefits include: 

• Improved Technique Application: Learning to apply offensive and defensive moves when faced with a live, unpredictable opponent.
• Enhanced Physical Conditioning: Sparring is a robust cardiovascular exercise that builds endurance, strength, and agility.
• Mental Resilience: Participants learn to stay calm, manage stress, and make quick decisions under pressure.
• Timing and Distance Management: Developing an awareness of distance and timing is crucial for effective offense and defense.
• Confidence Building: Consistent sparring in a safe environment helps build self-confidence in one's abilities.

  Our goal is to provide a fun, fair, and exciting tournament for competitors and their supporters in the great state of Texas! We hope that each person attending this event leaves with the understanding that what is “Bigger in Texas” is our Hospitality!
